Saturday, April 3, 2010:   Wow! It has been a long time since I've been here! I only recently returned to online. I didn't even know that my site remained let alone that I would still have my information needed to get into my sites! Not a whole lot, that I know of, has been going on with the show. On the other hand, Drew is now the host of "The Price is Right", taking over the show from Bob Barker. Wayne is now the host of the new version of "Let's Make a Deal". Since both shows are on CBS, they have made cross appearances. On the recent April Fools Day episode of "..Price...", Kathy Kinney, in her "Mimi" make-up, played "executive producer" of the show. Ryan has had a reoccurring role on the CBS sitcom "Two and a Half Men" as the current husband ("Herb") of Jon Cryer's ("Alan") character's ex-wife. As you recall, Ryan does have a connection with both of the adult leads of the show - Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer: "Hot Shots" and "Hot Shots: Part Deux". As for any other members of the gang...I just recently learned that Tony was recently part of a British program called "Kingdom" with Stephen Fry. Wow! It really has been a long time!

Monday, July 3, 2006:   Sorry for not being here, but I just had to share this wonderful news with you. According to TVSHOWSONDVD.com WL first season will be making it to DVD on September 26. According to the article, not only will there be a version of the way the episodes aired, but also an uncensored version. You can read more about it (including other little treats) in the article. I am so excited!!!!!

Thursday, June 22, 2006:   The last time I did anything at this site was back in...APRIL? Geez! I know that I can only apologize just so many times before you give up on me. I've been busy working...then, on the days I'm not working, when I can get the use of the computer, I tend to just check through my email. I wish that I could say that I will make more time, but I don't know if I can keep that promise anymore. All I will promise is that I will try to make it here more often to at least update something from time to time...and not taking nearly 2-1/2 months to do so.

A very belated Happy Birthday to all those players who had birthdays in May and June.

Friday, April 7, 2006:   Once again, I am so sorry for the delay in taking care of the site. There have been a lot of things going. There were more never before seen episodes that aired on ABC Family during the week of March 20 - 24. I have the recaps, etc., set up for those...and for the 3 that preceded those 5. Currently, BBC America is airing the UK series, but they are exactly like the ones that aired on Comedy Central. (Meaning, there are games missing from most of the episodes.)

A very belated Happy Birthday to those who had birthdays in March. The April ones are taken care of.

Thursday, February 2, 2006:   Sorry for being so late! I just changed the birthday list to February. And I tweaked the overall birthday list - making corrections.

Monday, January 16, 2006:   First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR! OK, it is 16 days late. I am so sorry for not being around here much of late. My work schedule and other things have kept me from doing my job here. I still not have written up the recaps for the newer episodes of Green Screen (which is currently no longer being seen on Comedy Central) and for the Christmas episode (and maybe another one) of Whose Line that aired on ABC Family. I am currently in the middle of move and don't have access to my computer. (I am on my sister's computer - whom I am now living with.) I will try to get things all caught up sometime soon...but I cannot say when that will be for sure. Please bear with me.

Belated Happy Birthday to all of the Whose Line members who had birthdays since my last entry. I hope that it was the best of times for you and that you have many, many more to come.

Thursday, November 3, 2005:   The changes have been made to the birthday list, reflecting the new month. (Today is Kathy Kinney's birthday. I wish her the brightest and best on this her special day.) I have yet to put up the recap for this past Tuesday's episode of Green Screen. (In case you didn't know, Comedy Central has moved the show to Tuesday nights, airing at 7:30 Eastern/6:30 Central for the final[?] 2 new episodes.) According to the schedule at their site, starting on Tuesday, November 15, they will begin airing the episodes that originally aired on The WB - and the time will change to 7 Eastern/6 Central. (They are still showing reairings of the episodes. You should check your local listings for the times and channel location in your area.) Anyway, as for the recap from this week - I will be getting it done by the weekend. Sorry for the delay...again.

"Whose Line is it Anyway?" is produced by Hat Trick Productions
UK (1988 - 1998)

"Welcome to 'Whose Line is it Anyway?', the improvisational show where comedy, entertainment, inspiration and drama are all abandoned in favour of a few silly games." (Introduction: Clive Anderson: 1995)

US (1998 - Current)

"Welcome to 'Whose Line is it Anyway?' where everything is made up and the points don't matter. That's right, they don't matter like..." (In show introduction: Drew Carey , current host.)
How It All Began

"Whose Line is it Anyway?" began on radio. Since you obviously can't see the credits on the radio, and since they needed to be read,...thus started the prize of the reading of the credits by the winner.

In the UK version, besides the compilations episodes, the only other episode that has no credit reading, is the pilot. In the first season of the current US version, there were no credit readings. It was added, by popular demand, at the start of the second season.

Update: The site with the WL radio shows is no longer operational, so I removed the link from the picture. I hope you had the chance to give them a listen!

Since this is the start page, I really thought that I should include this picture, the start of the show...a picture from the pilot episode:

It may not be one of the best episodes ever, but it does hold a significant place in "Whose Line is it Anyway?" history. If this pilot hadn't been sold, we wouldn't be here & most of the players would still be totally unknown to the most of us. Lines like "neon love chicken" & "peanut colada" would be on the "HUH!?" list. This is the only picture I have of 2 of those first players...Jon Glover & Jimmy Mulville. I have to admit, but I really don't know anything about Jon Glover. And I only know a little bit more than that about Jimmy Mulville. I do know that Jimmy is one of the people who began Hat Trick Productions, the lovely people who bring us the reason why we're are here..."Whose Line is it Anyway?".

April brings us grand total of 4 "Whose Line is it Anyway?" Birthdays,...Thursday, April 6th:   Rory Bremner - 1961, Friday, April 14th:   Chris Langham - 1949, Saturday, April 22nd:   Ryan Stiles - 1959, and Wednesday, April 26th:   Debra Wilson - 1970. On behalf of myself, the visitors to this site, the fans of "Whose Line is it Anyway?" and all the fans of their other projects, I wish them all a very, very Happy Birthday and many happy returns of the day!
